No doubt, a Full HD game is better than other, trust me, or if you just go for budget, the 720p should be enough, because both u compare just resolution matter, both 32". if you seek for Satisfaction? the 1080p is the one u must choose! Especially for Kinect!

No one has, as Vizio doesn’t make a 32" plasma, only an LCD. Plasmas generally start at 42".
Many have bought the 32" LCD, but no one who is knowledgeable about HDTV! Vizio, be it an LCD or larger plasma, despite the massive advertising, is third tier, "junk" TV. For 32" and 26" LCDs, the two top brands for both performance AND reliability are Panasonic and Sony. At a somewhat lower price, the Toshiba is very good followed, perhaps, by the 720p Sharp.

Add: I stand corrected on the 32" plasma now being released. Whoda thunk? However, my comments re: Vizio and the other junk TVs stand. If you want a 32", get one of the LCDs I mentioned.

Donald I was just at my local wal-mart today and I saw the Vizio VP322, I have to say that the picture is amazing! It was side by side with a samsung 32 LCD and the picture was far better and it’s a steal at only 547!

Sorry AWolf, Vizio has announced a 32" plasma TV for sale starting this spring, 2008. I have not yet seen this model nor will you find many that can comment because the new Vizio’s are about to hit the stores soon. Here is the web site: http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=58

Additional Details: It’s interesting to note that Vizio elected to list the response time for this plasma TV. Response time – 0.001 ms. I see people suggest that LCD technology is catching up to plasma response times, but the best LCD response times today are 4.0 ms. LCD technology will never catch a plasma response time of 0.001 ms (it’s a matter of physics) and this is typical for all plasma TVs!

Expecting delivery in about 1 1/2-2 weeks.

A couple of years ago I bought a 50" plasma from them. I have been very satisfied, still using it in the living room. The new one goes in my bedroom. Very impressive set of features, and I love the laconic black bezel design – reminds me of Panasonic pro series and Pioneer. Also love that it’s only 3.5" deep (without the stand). 3 HDMI inputs, PC input. Hell yeah. Price is awesome too. Gotta love the fact that they beat LG with releasing 32" plasma first.

Energy makes a set of speakers which are considered very good value. It’s called something like Take 5. Find a local dealer and give them a listen.

Alternatively, choose a popular model of stereo speaker from the ’90s, and buy 4 to 8 of ‘em through classified ads. They will probably outperform most of the tinny little boxes sold as home theater speakers these days, at least if you’re getting name brand stuff like Polk, Energy, KEF, Mission… Add a good powered subwoofer, and of course the A/V receiver.

You’ll need a receiver to power the speakers if you don’t have on. You also failed to mention a budget.

Plasma, LED, and LCD are all HDTV. LED is LCD w/LED backlights. The LED backlights should be better than fluorescent backlights because the backlight inverter (potential troublemaker) circuit is eliminated. LED/LCD is higher priced than LCD and probably not worth the extra money at this point in time. Plasma is a different animal altogether, makes a beautiful picture, and I have seen many good prices on them. My choice would be the Plasma. There are hundreds of answers to this question in the archives which you can ponder over before making your purchase decision.

LCD is best I think. Thats what I got. 54 in.

Why? well, We were going to get a 55 in led, because they look amazing. But after we saw a demonstration, the colors are not real at all, and everything looks photoshoped, and animated. Well, as some might like that, I don’t. I’d like to see things the way they are. The led colors arent true, and if you don’t need an extremely thin tv, then lcd is perfect.

Plasma has glare where lcd doesn’t. In plasma, if you leave one image on for too long, you may burn in the picture into your screen, which won’t go away.

I guess people like different things, I chose LCD, and I love it. Still can’t get enough of the great 54in quality from the latest Sony Bravia.

You’ve asked an apples and oranges question.

HDTV is high definition television, which plasma and LCD displays both can provide.

An LED set is simply an LCD set with a more modern method for backlighting.
